On November the 1st, the University of Liverpool is proud to host the distinguished Dr Naoíse Mac Sweeney (University of Leicester) who will give a presentation entitled: The Whole and the Part: The Role of Fragments in History and Culture, as part of its Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology Flagship Seminar Series.
Dr Mac Sweeney will be discussing the role of fragments in Greek history and historiography, as well as their meaning in reconstructions of the past and our understanding of the present.
This is an excellent opportunity for those in the Northwest of England and further afield to hear one of the most exciting new voices in the field of Ancient Greek history and historiography. As regular readers will know she has previously authored important volumes on Troy and foundation myths in Ionia.
The seminar will take place in SR10, Rendall Building, Bedford Street South, Liverpool.
